Job Description

  • The candidate will be required to attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • The candidate will be required to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supporting early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
  • The candidate will be expected to engage children in activities such as storytelling, song teaching, and craft preparation.
  • The candidate will be required to prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • The candidate must provide written observations of children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • The candidate will be expected to place orders for supplies and equipment.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining daycare equipment as well as assisting with housekeeping and cooking duties.
  • The candidate will be required to encourage and assist each child in carrying out daily routines.
  • The candidate will be expected to assist the childcare educator in keeping the environment safe and positive.
  • The candidate will be expected to assist early childhood educators or supervisors with record keeping.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate or diploma in Other trades.
  • Candidate having experience is an asset.
  • The candidate must have First Aid Certificate and Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • The candidate will be in charge of children aged one year, two years, three years, and infants (3 months to 11 months).
  • The candidate should be a good team player with enough interpersonal and judge-mental skills.
