Job Description

The candidate will be required to attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
The candidate will be required to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
The candidate will be responsible for supporting early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
The candidate will be expected to engage children in activities such as storytelling, song teaching, and craft preparation.
The candidate will be required to prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
The candidate must provide written observations of children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
The candidate will be expected to place orders for supplies and equipment.
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining daycare equipment as well as assisting with housekeeping and cooking duties.
The candidate will be required to encourage and assist each child in carrying out daily routines.
The candidate will be expected to assist the childcare educator in keeping the environment safe and positive.
The candidate will be expected to assist early childhood educators or supervisors with record keeping.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English language.
The candidate must have a certificate or diploma in Other trades.
Candidate having experience is an asset.
The candidate must have First Aid Certificate and Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
The candidate will be in charge of children aged one year, two years, three years, and infants (3 months to 11 months).
The candidate should be a good team player with enough interpersonal and judge-mental skills.

The candidate will be responsible for providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity.

The candidate will be required to establish collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
