Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe product delivery to customer locations, as well as providing professional service in a team-oriented environment.
The candidate will be responsible for coordinating the unload and providing hands-on assistance in collaboration with a delivery helper.
The candidate will be in charge of ensuring the safe transportation of product to customer locations.
The candidate will be in charge of performing circle checks, log books, and other regulatory requirements such as truck maintenance.
The candidate will be in charge of manually loading and unloading product in accordance with plant and customer specifications.
The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with various teams throughout the day.
The candidate will be responsible for providing direction and guidance to the Delivery Helper in order to meet the needs of the customer.
As part of the overall team, the candidate will be responsible for supporting the training needs of new hires.
The candidate will be held accountable for adhering to all procedures (e.g. biosecurity, HACCP, CHEQ)
The candidate will be in charge of positive customer interactions.
The candidate will be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
The candidate will be in charge of receiving and paying for products.
The candidate will be in charge of keeping track of trip details such as vehicle miles, fuel prices, and any issues.
The candidate will be responsible for pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections, as well as overseeing all aspects of the vehicle.
The candidate will be expected to deliver orders to customers along predetermined routes.
The candidate will be expected to develop customer loyalty by delivering food in a timely and courteous manner.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that orders are delivered correctly and in good condition.
The candidate will be expected to communicate any issues or delays that arise and to resolve problems as quickly as possible.
The candidate must represent the company with excellence and professionalism by driving safely, exercising sound judgement, and treating customers with dignity.
At the same time, the candidate will be expected to manage several orders, delivery locations, and customers.
The candidate will be expected to deliver orders in a timely manner while maintaining food freshness and respecting customer preferences.
The candidate must be able to operate a vehicle safely in all weather conditions.
The candidate must be able to navigate local streets and highways using a GPS.
The candidate must verify orders prior to each delivery and keep a detailed, comprehensive delivery log.
The candidate will be responsible for order confirmation and payment collection at the time of delivery.
The candidate will be expected to inspect containers to ensure they are fit for delivery to customers.
The candidate will be responsible for listening to customer complaints and reporting them to the appropriate manager.
The candidate will be expected to keep the truck clean and organised both inside and out, while adhering to sanitation and safety principles when handling food and equipment.
The candidate will be expected to follow up on delivery difficulties and assist in the resolution of customer concerns.
The candidate will be expected to keep proper inventory for specific deliveries.
The candidate will be expected to log transportation details, order paperwork, and payment transactions.
The candidate will be expected to verify all food product amounts and cross-check with customer order documents.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English or French languages
There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of driving experience and a D licence or an equivalent.
The candidate must have a valid DZ licence.
The candidate should have clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations
The candidate must have demonstrated a dedication to safe workplace practises.
The candidate must understand and adhere to all Animal Welfare/HACCP/Biosecurity procedures (Training will be provided)
The candidate must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including some Wednesdays and weekends as needed (e.g., early starts and/or late finishes).
The candidate should be able to complete work without supervision.
The candidate’s delivery experience is an asset.
