Drop In Leader

City of Mississauga has released a notification in which they’re inviting candidates for the post of Drop In Leader. They oversee operation of designated drop-in program. They also take drop in payments and reconcile drop in numbers. They are responsible for communicating with participants and parents as necessary.

Job description

  • Candidates are responsible for the supervision and coordination of a drop in program for youth. 
  • Candidates are responsible to meet the needs of the participants and ensure course outline and expectations are followed. 
  • They will assist in the operation of drop-in sport programs to meet the needs of all participants and to ensure adequate safety while facilitating leisure activities.

Job requirement

  • Candidates must have at least 16 years of age by the start date.
  • They also must have emergency First Aid & CPR B certification (or higher) from a WSIB approved provider.
  • They must have HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development or HIGH FIVE Sport Certification.
  • Candidates also must have experience working with youth and adults.

Work setting

  • Candidates must have excellent communication skills including Organisational skills.
  • This position also requires recreation/sport skills.
