Job Description

• The candidate will be responsible for bathing or shampooing.
• The candidate will be responsible for anal gland treatment.
• The candidate will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stalls, and enclosures.
• The candidate will be responsible for the pet clipping and styling.
• The candidate will be responsible for supervising helpers.
• The candidate must do ear cleaning, flea baths, and nail clipping.
• The candidate will be responsible for monitoring and documenting animal behaviour.
• The candidate must demonstrate clipping.
• The candidate will be responsible for teeth cleaning and clipping.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
• Fluency in Vietnamese and Persian is an asset.
• The candidate must have a Pet Grooming Certificate.
• The candidate must be able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should be dependable.
• The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
• The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

Work setting

• The candidate must work in a pet grooming shop.

• The candidate should have an eye for details.
• The candidate should be prepared to perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate should be able to work in fast-paced busy environment.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
