Job description
- Candidates will screen requisitions for completeness and contacting referring physician offices, other health professionals or patients to gather missing data.
- They will obtain new and existing hospital numbers from central registries across all Shared Health facilities as required.
- They will sit for long periods of time using a computer.
- They will experience frequent deadline pressures.
- They need to pay careful attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have 2 years experience within the last 5 years in a high volume computerised medical office.
- They must have a Medical Administrative Assistant Certificate or Medical Office Assistant Certificate, including medical terminology from a recognized institute.
- They must possess an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Candidates must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- They must demonstrate the ability to prioritise work under the direction of the Manager and adhere to details.
