Job Description
- The candidate will be required to operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks in order to pick up and deliver various items and products.
- The candidate must assemble, install, and set up merchandise/products.
- The candidate must load and unload goods.
- The candidate must use maps and other trip planning tools.
- The candidate will be required to keep track of trip details such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues that arise.
- The candidate will be expected to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections as well as oversee all vehicle aspects.
- The candidate will be required to perform administrative tasks.
- The candidate must keep track of all items received and delivered.
- The candidate will be responsible for scheduling appointments for the sales team.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must have a Class 5/5F/G license (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
- The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
- The candidate must be well-organized.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
Work setting
- The candidate will be required to work in various locations.
Experience and specialization
Documentation knowledge
- The candidate must be knowledgeable about accident or incident reports, trip reports, maintenance and repair reports, inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip) and driver logbook.
Transportation/travel experience
- The candidate must have prior travel experience in both local and provincial/territorial areas.
