Job Description 

  • Applicants for this post are appointed to provide sound academic and administrative leadership, supervision, and direction to the divisional leadership team.
  • They’re also required at this post to ensure the effective planning, development and delivery of all programs and facilities within the Division.
  • Candidates are appointed to work collaboratively to ensure the development of new College programs and services are consistent with the College’s strategic plans.
  • Applicants are also required at this post to provide leadership in the development and implementation of new academic programs working at this post.
  • They’re also appointed at this post to ensure that Divisional teaching, learning, service, financial, and strategic processes support student success working at this post.
  • They’re also required at this post to foster strong, active partnerships with members of the community and donors, and will be an ambassador for Niagara College in the community working at this post.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates for this post must have a minimum of a Master’s Degree in a relevant leadership area to be eligible for this post.
  • They must have a minimum of 9 years of progressive leadership experience in business or public sector settings and a post-secondary academic environment to be eligible for this post.
  • Candidates for this post must have excellent communication, management, human relations and conflict resolution skills to be eligible for this post.
  • They must attain the ability to handle student and faculty complaints and behaviour issues and make public presentations to get preferred for this post.

Work setting 

  • Applicants must have a prior PhD in a relevant subject area along with administrative leadership experience in the Ontario College system to be preferred for this post.
