Job Description

  • The candidate must receive and register documents for data entry.
  • The candidate must enter data in the format specified.
  • The candidate must transfer data between software applications.
  • The candidate must verify the accuracy and completeness of the data.
  • The candidate must store, update, and maintain databases.
  • The candidate must perform backup procedures to ensure data preservation.
  • The candidate must perform general office duties.
  • The candidate must classify, label, and store data diskettes/disks and tapes.
  • The candidate must use a scanner to create digital records.
  • The candidate must plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations.
  • The candidate must transfer handwritten data to Excel or Word documents.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.

Computer and technology knowledge

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable about Word processing software, Database software, MS Office, Quick Books, Data analysis software, Presentation software, Spreadsheet, MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Internet, MS Windows and Simply Accounting.

Technical terminology

  • The candidate must be familiar with legal, financial, computer-data processing, and human resource terminology.

Specialization or experience

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable about the green economy sector and have specialized environmental skills and knowledge.

Area of specialization

  • The candidate must be specialized in the areas of correspondence, contracts, statistics, financial statements, invoices, charts, tables, graphs, diagrams, reports, and records.

Keystrokes per hour

  • Keystrokes per hour range from 0 to 10,000 sph.

Security and safety

  • The candidate should undergo a thorough basic security clearance, enhanced reliability security clearance and criminal background check.

Transportation/travel information

  • The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.

  • The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.
  • The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks on frequent basis.
