Job Description 

  • People are accountable at this post to establish processes to comply with other countries’ Customs regulations.
  • Candidates are also accountable for monitoring changes within the Canada Border Services Agency that affect our in-house importations working at this post.
  •  Applicants are also accountable for updating broker contact information and setting up rate agreements and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Candidates are also accountable to ensure broker agreements are adhered to ensuring consistency, quality and rates working at this post.
  • People working at this post are required to work with other groups internally to ensure compliance with Canada Customs regulations.
  • Applicants are also accountable at this post for liaising with the Fuel Department to create provisional invoicing for truck shipments for BC and Alberta and send them out to all the carriers every week working at this post.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must attain a university degree in a relevant field like logistics, supply chain management, etc, to be eligible for this post.
  • People must attain 5+ years of experience in customs regulations and must have a CCS Certified Customs Specialist to be eligible for this post.
  •  Candidates must attain demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure, and with changing priorities.
  • Applicants must have strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication/negotiation skills to be considered as an asset for this post.

Work setting 

  • They’re accountable for overseeing day-to-day operations and assisting or delegating when needed.
  • People are also appointed to manage staff for operational requirements and vacation coverage, overtime and undertime.
  • Candidates are appointed to have On Call 24/7 – availability by phone and e-mail to ensure AOG shipments are cleared inbound/outbound working at this post.
