Job Description
- Candidates working at this post are required to provide strategic advice and support on the legal implications of operational and policy issues and initiatives affecting the operation of the courts applied for this post.
- Applicants working in this post are also required to provide litigation advice and support and effectively manage issues.
- They’re appointed to this post to review and advise on statutes, regulations, and common-law developments applied for this post.
- People working at this post are appointed for developing and drafting court rules, legislation, and regulations working at this post.
- People working in this post are required to review and prepare government policy submissions, option papers, briefing materials, and correspondence.
- They must be able to provide legal and operational support to court staff and management to be considered as an asset for this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates who applied for this post must have experience with family, estates, and/or enforcement matters will be considered an asset.
- People applying for this post must know statutes and related regulations affecting the operation of Ontario courts, including the Criminal Code, the Court of Justice Act and others.
- Candidates working in this post must have litigation experience and must attain proven ability to assess the legal, policy, operational and fiscal implications, risks and benefits of operational, policy and legislative proposals.
- People must have demonstrated the ability to recommend strategies and solutions for mitigating identified risks to be eligible for this post.
- People must have demonstrated legal analysis and policy development skills, including experience in providing strategic legal and policy advice for consideration by senior officials to be eligible for this post.
