Job Description 

  • Candidates at this post are appointed to develop business cases, requests for proposals, project charters, work plans, briefings, council reports and other standard documents to support assigned projects and conduct jurisdictional research working at this post. 
  • Candidates are also required to support emergency readiness of major planned events across the city to ensure the safety of participants and attendees working at this post. 
  • They’re also appointed to coordinate and manage response efforts among various agencies and stakeholders during emergencies to ensure a cohesive and efficient response.
  • Candidates are also required to coordinate essential continuity of business functions and City operations during and after emergencies. 
  • Candidates are also appointed to recognize problems, make recommendations, and when appropriate, take appropriate corrective/preventive action working at this post. 
  • Candidates for this post are required to provide advice and updates to management, using innovative, effective methods to present information. 

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must have post-secondary education in fields like Emergency Management, Public Administration, Public Health, Environmental Science, Geography Public Safety to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must have experience coordinating an organization’s response to complex emergencies and/or supporting planning for large special events to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates must have strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver presentations and write plans, procedures, reports, and briefing materials.
  • Candidates must have excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to provide recommendations and advice to senior management to be eligible for this post. 

Work setting 

  • They must have dedicated experience using various software applications including MS Office Suite like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc to be eligible for this post.
