Job Description
- The candidate must load, unload, and transport construction materials.
- The candidate will be required to erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
- The candidate must be able to mix, pour, and spread materials.
- The candidate will be expected to assist heavy equipment operators.
- The candidate will be expected to assist in pipe alignment during pipeline construction.
- The candidate will be expected to help with rock drilling and blasting on construction sites.
- The candidate will be expected to help with house framing, wall construction, and roof construction.
- The candidate must level earth to fine grade specifications.
- The candidate will be expected to pave and rake asphalt.
- The candidate will be expected to assist in the demolition of buildings.
- The candidate must clean and stack salvaged materials.
- The candidate must clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
- The candidate must remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
- The candidate will be required to tend or feed construction machines or equipment.
- The candidate will be responsible for directing traffic near construction sites.
- The candidate must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- The candidate will be expected to carry out routine maintenance tasks.
- The candidate will be expected to train apprentices.
- The candidate will be responsible for cleaning and lubricating cranes.
- The candidate must be able to operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials.
- The candidate will be required to operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into the earth to provide support for buildings and other structures.
- The candidate will be expected to load and unload ship cargo using gantry cranes at the port.
- The candidate will be required to operate cranes equipped with dredging attachments to dredge waterways and other areas.
- The candidate must be able to operate locomotive cranes in railway yards to move objects and materials.
- The candidate must be able to lift, move, and place plant machinery and materials using bridge or overhead cranes.
- The candidate must unload and reload supply vessels using offshore oil rig cranes.
- The candidate must be able to lift, move, and place equipment and materials using cranes mounted on boats or barges.
- The candidate must operate dragline cranes to expose coal seams and ore deposits in open pit mines.
- The candidate must perform a pre-operational inspection and calculate crane capacities and weight in order to prepare for rigging and hoisting.
- The candidate must assemble tower cranes on-site.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
