Job Description

• The candidate must load, unload, and transport construction materials.
• The candidate must be capable of erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
• The candidate must assist in the demolition of buildings.
• The candidate must remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
• The candidate will be responsible for tending or feeding construction machines and equipment.
• The candidate will be responsible for fitting insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs.
• The candidate will be responsible for fabricating and applying removable insulation pads and covers.
• The candidate must measure and cut insulating materials to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools.
• The candidate must apply and secure insulation by spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application and installation methods.
• The candidate will be responsible for installing vapor barriers and fire retardant materials.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English or French languages.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• Candidate having experience is an asset.
• The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty, cold/refrigerated and hot conditions.

Work setting

• The candidate must focus on repair work, which involves restoring something that has been damaged, deteriorated, or broken to working order.
• The candidate should have an on-site customer service system where employees work in an office or business location.
• The candidate should be involved in maintenance, fixing and maintaining machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings.
• The candidate must be able to work in the installation process, with an emphasis on large-scale, mixed-media constructions that are frequently designed for a specific place or a temporary period.
• The candidate must work on construction sites.
• The candidate should work in a commercial setting that produces a workforce full of highly competent, respectful, mature, and accountable employees working toward a common goal.

• The candidate must be skilled in the construction of residential buildings.

Area of specialization

• The candidate must be knowledgeable about acoustic insulation, spraying and blowing insulation, fire stopping and fireproofing.
