Aire D3 inc. situated in Saint-Amable, QC is currently looking for applications for the role of Construction labourer who is a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills. The selected candidate for this position will be expected to start work promptly. The available positions are for Permanent employment or Full time job. The candidate must be available to work during the Early Morning shift and be willing to work overtime.

Job Description

  • The candidate must load, unload, and transport construction materials.
  • The candidate must be capable of erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • The candidate will be responsible for mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • The candidate must assist in the demolition of buildings.
  • The candidate must clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • The candidate will be responsible for tending or feeding construction machines and equipment.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in French language.
  • There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must have certifications in Asbestos abatement training, Personal protective equipment (PPE) training, Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS), Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), and Provincial/Territorial Asbestos Hazards.
  • The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • The candidate should be accurate.

  • The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
  • The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
  • The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
  • The candidate must work in an oilfield construction company, an industrial plant, or a construction site.

Experience and specialization

Equipment and machinery experience

  • The candidate must have experience using bobcats, concrete vibrators, reciprocating saws, circular saws, concrete saws, mortar and concrete mixers, grinding machines, jackhammers, air compressors, drills, small front-end loaders, compactors, sledgehammers, and hand tools.

Construction specialization

  • The candidate must be skilled in the construction of industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential buildings.

  • The candidate’s driving record should be thoroughly checked (abstract).

Transportation/travel information

  • The candidate must have their own vehicle.
  • The candidate must be willing to travel.
  • The candidate must be willing to travel overnight.
