Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for installing electrical controls and panel boxes.
  • The candidate will be responsible for replacing, and repairing electrical control and panel boxes.
  • The candidate must splice, join, and connect wires.
  • The candidate must test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and circuit integrity.
  • The candidate must troubleshoot and isolate faults.
  • The candidate must connect power to audio and visual equipment.
  • The candidate must renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
  • The candidate must be able to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ordering parts and maintaining inventory.
  • The candidate will be responsible for implementing preventive maintenance programs and keeping maintenance records.
  • The candidate will be responsible for installing electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must have Electrician Trade Certification.
  • The candidate must be well-organized.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
  • The candidate must be able to work at heights.
  • The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
  • The candidate must be willing to work in hazardous conditions.
  • The candidate must be able to work in dusty and hot conditions.

Work setting

  • The candidate must work on construction sites.
  • The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
