Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to plan, execute and document conservation treatments. Refers to outside conservation expertise as required.
- People who apply for this post are also appointed to evaluate the costs of conservation projects and forward information to the Supervisor.
- Candidates who applied for this post are responsible for the daily operation of the conservation laboratory working at this post.
- They’re appointed at this post to select, coordinate and monitor external contractors for conservation projects and forward information to the Supervisor working at this post.
- People applying for this post are required to coordinate and monitor the activities of conservation volunteers and interns working at this post.
- Candidates working in this post are required to participate in the development of a conservation module and maintain the data in the collections management database applied for this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have a university degree or equivalent in a relevant area of conservation of cultural property or the relevant combination of education and experience to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have considerable experience performing conservation treatments within a strict budget and schedule constraints.
- They must attain dedicated experience administering an Integrated Pest Management Program to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- They must attain excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to simplify complex information to a diverse audience to be considered an asset for this post.
