Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for conducting research and developing government policies related to recreation, sports, fitness, and athletic safety and standards.
  • The candidate must prepare research papers, educational texts, or articles.
  • The candidate will be responsible for performing administrative tasks.
  • The candidate will be responsible for writing proposals and press statements for corporations, industry, and the fitness community.
  • The candidate will be responsible for coordinating special events.
  • The candidate must provide expert advice and consulting services in the design, development, and management of sports, fitness, and recreation programs and activities.
  • The candidate will be responsible for project management.
  • The candidate must produce reports.
  • The candidate will be responsible for preparing project schedules.
  • The candidate must plan, develop, and implement communication strategies.
  • The candidate must conduct research.
  • The candidate will be responsible for collecting and recording data.
  • The candidate must participate in community needs assessment and program development.
  • The candidate will be responsible for organizing and directing committees and working groups that plan, manage, or evaluate projects and programs.
  • The candidate will be expected to meet with individuals, special interest groups, and others to discuss issues and evaluate and recommend various courses of action based on meetings.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising working groups, committees, and staff in various areas of responsibility.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
  • The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate must be interpersonally aware.
  • The candidate must be collaborative.
  • The candidate must have excellent time management skills.
