Job Description
- The candidate must prepare reports or case histories.
- The candidate must appraise clients’ needs or determine eligibility for specific services.
- The candidate must perform administrative tasks.
- The candidate must implement life skills workshops.
- The candidate must assess clients’ relevant skill strengths and development needs.
- The candidate must perform housekeeping activities.
- The candidate will be responsible for food preparation.
- The candidate must provide suicide and crisis intervention.
- The candidate must resolve conflict situations.
- The candidate must implement behaviour management programs.
- The candidate must liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients.
- The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
- The candidate must accompany clients to appointments and social outings.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
- Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
- The candidate must have Mandt System training certification, Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, Cultural Awareness Training Certification, Medicine Administration Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and Food Safety Certificate.
- The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
- The candidate should be accurate.
- The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
- The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- The candidate must be interpersonally aware.
- The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
- The candidate should give importance to values and ethics.
