Job description

  • The candidate will be required to obtain information.
  • The candidate will be required to prepare reports.
  • The candidate will be required to prepare case histories.
  • The candidate will be required to appraise clients’ needs or eligibility for specific services.
  • The candidate will be required to provide suicide and crisis intervention.
  • The candidate will be required to develop specific services within the community.
  • The candidate will be required to co-ordinate specific services within the community
  • The candidate will be required to implement the delivery of specific services within the community.
  • The candidate will be required to liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients.
  • The candidate will be required to look after clients.
  • The candidate will be required to look after the needs of the client.
  • The candidate will be required to know administrative and office skills.
  • The working environment will be in an Urban area.
  • The working setting is located in various locations.

Requirements

  • The candidate should have a College/CEGEP
    or equivalent experience
  • The candidate should have First Aid Certificate.
  • The candidate should have Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate.
  • The candidate should have Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).
  • The candidate should have an experience of at least 3 year to less than 5 years.
  • The candidate should be willing to travel.
  • The candidate should have valid driver’s license.
  • The Travel expenses of the candidate will be paid by employer.
  • The candidate should have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate should have interpersonal awareness.
  • The work will involve a combination of sitting, standing and walking which the candidate should be comfortable with.
  • The candidate should be able to manage tight deadlines.
  • The candidate should be able to work under pressure.
  • The candidate should be able to handle repetitive tasks.
  • The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads.
  • The work will be physically demanding and hence the candidate should be comfortable with it.
  • The candidate should pay attention to detail.
  • The candidate will be required to stand for extended periods and hence should be comfortable with it.
