Job description
- All candidates will identify the most appropriate communication channel for communication messages and distribute and implement as needed.
- They will also design and produce various promotional materials to support the needs of JWAM.
- Candidates have to work within the Arts Communications team and JVM to execute projects and campaigns in support of both unit’s objectives.
- They have to support and coordinate the Arts Communications project intake process on Asana.
- Candidates have to act as the communications liaison on events that further enhance the unit’s identity, vision and values.
- They are responsible for participating in regular team meetings with the Arts Communications team and the Arts Communications Network.
Job requirement
- All candidates must have an undergraduate degree preferably in a Social Science and Humanities, Communications, Marketing, or a related area.
- They also must have demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating strategic communications, marketing plans, media projects and/or social media strategies.
- They are also requested to have experience working in a community or University-based environment with a focus in public relations, communications.
- Knowledge of graphic and web design principles are also required.
- They also must have knowledge of online UBC information systems an asset.
- Candidates must have the ability to develop and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships and engage in workplace culture.
Work setting
- All candidates must have effective use of social media to create networks and communicate across diverse groups to engage audiences.
- They also must have expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, or equivalent image processing and design applications.
- Candidates will Highly organised with the ability to prioritise assignments and work independently or in a team environment.
