Job Description

- They’re appointed at this post to respond to phone, email and counter inquiries and provide advice and options to inquiring stakeholders.
- Candidates interested in this post to prepare and attend Committee of Adjustment hearings to assist the Secretary-Treasurer working at this post.
- Applicants applying for this post are accountable for liaising with stakeholders such as members of the Council, Committee members, staff in other departments, external agencies, applicants and others.
- They’re accountable at this post for maintaining accurate records, including speaker lists, agendas, and statistics working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates applying for this post must have completed a University/College degree in planning, engineering technology, architectural technology or urban geography to be eligible for this post.
- They must have 3 years of experience in municipal or legal administration and would develop skills for some of the job responsibilities to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must have 2 years of experience working with the Committee of Adjustment.
- They must attain excellent interpersonal/conflict resolution, time management, attention to detail, and effective communication skills to be preferred for this post.
- They must have professional designation with the Ontario Association of Committees of Adjustment and Consent Authorities to be preferred for this post.
