Job Description
- The candidate will be expected to evaluate new and renewal applications in order to determine insurance risks, insurance premiums, coverage extent, and other conditions.
- The candidate must approve the sale of insurance policies.
- The candidate will be expected to provide underwriting advice.
- The candidate will be expected to respond to client and other company personnel inquiries.
- The candidate will be required to prepare underwriting reports.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate or diploma in Other trades.
- Candidate having experience is an asset.
- The applicant must hold a Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) licence.
- The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
- The candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
- The candidate must be well-organized.
- The candidate should be reliable.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
Experience and Specialization
Computer and Technology Knowledge
- The candidate should be familiar with Microsoft Word, Spreadsheet, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Insurance Experience
- The candidate must have prior experience with Liability insurance, Business risk insurance and Property insurance.
