A private home based in Fort McMurray, AB, is looking for candidates for the position of Child Caregiver – Private Home with 1 vacancy. The ones chosen to be employed will be required to start work as soon as possible. The vacancies refer to that of permanent employment and a full time job. The shift will extend from day to evening to night, it may be on the weekend, or on call, one may also opt for flexible hours, and can be called in for shifts during early morning or morning.

Job description

Will be required to tend to emotional well-being of children.
Will be required to take children to and from school and to appointments.
Will be required to supervise and care for children.
Will be required to sterilize bottles.
Will be required to prepare formulas.
Will be required to change diapers for infants.
Will be required to prepare and serve nutritious meals.
Will be required to organize, activities such as games and outings for children.
Will be required to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
Will be required to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
Will be required to discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
Will be required to bathe, dress and feed infants and children.
Will be required to prepare infants and children for rest periods.
Will be required to help children with homework.
Will be required to wash, iron and press clothing and household linens.
Will be required to travel with family on trips.
Will be required to assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
Will be required to shop for food and household supplies.
Will be required to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
Will be required to care for pets.
Will be required to assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents.
Will be required to tend to children of ages 5 years and infants of age 3 months – 11 months.
Will be required to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Will be required to work in the employer’s or the client’s home.

Requirements

The candidate should have a Secondary high school graduation certificate.
The candidate should have an experience of at least 1 year to less than 2 years.
The candidate should have a First Aid Certificate.
The candidate should have knowledge in emergency child care first aid.
The candidate should have a CPR training certificate.
The candidate should be able to work in the employer’s home.
The candidate should have their Bondable checked.
The candidate should have their Child welfare check done.
The candidate should have a Drug test check done.
The candidate should have a thorough Criminal record check.
Reference will be required from trusted sources.
Should have a Vulnerable sector check done.
The candidate should have their own transportation.
The candidate should be willing to travel regularly.
The travel expenses will not be paid by employer.
The candidate should be able to work under pressure.
The candidate should be able to manage repetitive tasks.
The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads.
