Job Description
- The candidate must observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
- The candidate must submit written observations of children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
- The candidate will be expected to discuss the children’s progress and problems at staff meetings.
- The candidate must be familiar with the Day Nurseries Act.
- The candidate must attend staff meetings to discuss the progress and problems of the children.
- The candidate must develop and maintain collaborative relationships with coworkers and community service providers who work with children.
- The candidate must supervise and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a diploma or certificate in other trades.
- Candidate having experience is an asset.
- The candidate must be a member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) and have an Early Childhood Education (ECE), First Aid, and CPR certificate.
