ADESUWA ODIA CAREGIVER situated in Keswick, ON is currently looking for applications for the role of Child care live-in caregiver who is a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills. The selected candidate for this position will be expected to start work promptly. The available positions are for Permanent employment or Full time job. The shift schedules have yet to be determined, and the candidate must work from 06:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m.

Job Description

  • The candidate must assume full responsibility for the household in absence of parents.
  • The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • The candidate must go shopping for food and household supplies.
  • The candidate must travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
  • The candidate must wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens.
  • The candidate must bathe, dress, and feed infants and children.
  • The candidate must discipline children using the methods specified by the parents.
  • The candidate will be responsible for instructing children in personal hygiene and social development.
  • The candidate must keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home.
  • The candidate will be responsible for organizing activities for children, such as games and outings.
  • The candidate must prepare and serve healthy meals.
  • The candidate must prepare infants and children for rest periods.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising and caring for children.
  • The candidate will be responsible for transporting children to and from school and appointments.
  • The candidate will be responsible for the emotional well-being of children.
  • The candidate will be responsible for helping children with homework.
  • The candidate will be responsible for cooking.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must have a CPR and First Aid Certificate.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
