Job Description
- People working in this post are appointed to provide individual care, counselling and group therapy for clients.
- They’re also required at this post to identify stages of behavioural escalation and respond in a clinically appropriate manner to de-escalate the behaviour and develop strategies to reduce the clients’ concerning behaviours.
- People working in this post are required to maintain clinical records and documents, actively participate in communication processes with partners and participate in plan of care meetings.
- They’re also required at this post to utilize and review ICMP strategies and individual programs.
- People applying for this post are also appointed to provide educational staff with information and updates on ICMP and individual programs.
- People who apply for this post are required to encourage a positive school culture and enhance learning with the teacher and client working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates applying for this post must have experience providing care and treatment to children with physical, developmental and/or behavioural needs on-site and in the community.
- They must attain dedicated knowledge of evidence-based practices for children and adolescents with developmental delay and/or mental health problems to be considered as an asset for this post.
- People must be able to develop and implement individual client treatment plan reviews, program evaluations, and educational programs to be considered as an asset for this post.
- They must be able to safely and effectively manage behavioral crises and respond in a trauma-informed approach to be eligible for this post.
