Job Description
- The candidate must maintain records of food costs, sales, consumption, and inventory.
- The candidate must supervise the activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
- The candidate must instruct cooks in food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation.
- The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals as well as specialty foods for events such as banquets.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising cooks and other kitchen personnel.
- The candidate must prepare and cook food on a regular basis, as well as for special guests or functions.
- The candidate must prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
- The candidate must requisition food and kitchen supplies.
- The candidate must estimate food requirements as well as food and labour costs.
- The candidate must plan and direct the food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants.
- The candidate must plan menus and ensure that food quality standards are met.
- The candidate must prepare dishes for customers who have food allergies or intolerances.
- The candidate must supervise the activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs and cooks.
- The candidate will be responsible for training staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling.
Job Requirements

- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must have a Food Safety Certificate.
