Job Description
- Candidates at this post are appointed to assist patients at the counter, receive written prescriptions for Pharmacists, and retrieve filled prescriptions.
- They’re also appointed to process register transactions and receive payment, make changes, and process cheques, and credit and debit charges.
- They’re also appointed at this post to provide prompt and courteous patient service working at this post.
- They’re appointed at this post to assist Pharmacists in updating patient profiles and entering prescription information into the pharmacy computer to the extent permitted by Provincial regulations.
- They’re required to assist Pharmacists in filling prescriptions by restocking, labelling and pricing prescriptions under direct pharmacist supervision to the extent permitted by Provincial regulations.
- Candidates for this post are appointed to prepare third-party insurance claims, process invoices and make accounting entries using a computerized system.
- Candidates are required to order, receive, tag and stock prescription drugs and supplies.
- Candidates are also required to clean the department by sweeping, mopping, spraying, wiping and dusting.
- They’re also required to empty trash and operate trash compactor and cardboard baile working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have completed a pharmacy diploma at a Community College and a dedicated pharmacy clerk certification to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must be able to answer phones, and direct members to product locations.
- Candidates must have computer, math, and member service skills to be eligible for this post.
- They must be able to communicate in French to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- They must have completed a certification as required by the province and dedicated pharmacy experience to be eligible for this post.
