Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for booking air travel for internal and external guests, answering questions, and providing general information about WestJet travel.
- The candidate will be expected to provide pre and post booking support, such as changing and cancelling reservations, using our reservation system.
- The candidate must effectively research and make decisions based on the information available to them, while balancing the needs of the guest with the needs of the business.
- As needed, the candidate will be required to work on ad hoc projects.
- The candidate will be expected to assist customers with flight reservations, itinerary changes, baggage concerns, and customer loyalty programme questions.
- The candidate will be responsible for assisting passengers with check-in, issuing tickets, providing flight information, checking baggage, and resolving ticket-related travel problems.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a minimum of two years of experience in a customer service and/or sales related environment.
- The candidate must reside within one hour of WestJet’s headquarters (22 Aerial Place NE).
- The candidate must be fluent in both written and spoken English at an advanced level.
- The candidate must have strong computer skills, including a typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
- The candidate’s schedule will be flexible, and work hours will be determined by business needs.
- The candidate should be punctual.

Other important information
- This is a shift-based, home-based position; our contact centre is open 24/7/365, so you must be available to work early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- All contact centre positions require 4-6 weeks of virtual or in-person training at WestJet’s headquarters.
- All necessary computer hardware for the role will be provided.
- Our positions are in-home roles, and we require our agents to have the following environment for their home office to be successful: high speed internet (hardwired 25 Mbps download and 2.5 Mbps upload) and a safe, secure, and distraction-free room with an ergonomic set-up allowing you to sit for long periods of time.
