Job Description
- Candidates working at this post are required to slice half-sheet cakes by hand using a 16” knife or with a slicing machine. Place on a pre-cut cardboard cake pad for handling.
- They’re also required to read members special orders to determine appropriate flavors, colors, decorative patterns and personalized writing for cakes.
- Candidates working at this post are also appointed to remove cheesecakes from baking pans, placed on cake pad. Applies topping with spatula. Garnishes per Costco formulas.
- They’re also appointed to use a whipping cream machine and slices fresh fruit for application to baked products.
- Candidates at this post are appointed to assemble pre-cut, cardboard cake boxes. Boxes cakes and places on a large wheeled rack.
- They’re also appointed to transfer the rack to the cooler, freezer, or wrapping area.
- Candidates are also required to keep the decorating area clean and clear of debris. Follow safety and security procedures.
- They’re appointed to assist with other bakery duties and provides prompt and courteous member service working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have completed a high school diploma or GED to get preferred for this post.
- They’ll also get a dedicated Food Safety certificate to get preferred for this post.
- Candidates must attain the dedicated knowledge of French language to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have dedicated experience in cake decorating.
Work setting
- Candidates must be able to assist in other areas of the warehouse to be eligible for this post.
- No special knowledge and skills are required to be eligible for this post.
