Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for making minor furniture adjustments and repairs.
- The candidate will be responsible for preparing, sanding, and trimming wooden furniture and fixture parts.
- The candidate must set up and operate finishing machines, or finish furniture by hand.
- The candidate must assemble wooden or metal furniture and fixture parts to form subassemblies and complete articles.
- The candidate must read blueprints and drawings.
- The candidate must stain or finish wood to the specified colour.
- The candidate must apply toners, highlights, glazes, or shaders to obtain the desired finish.
- The candidate will be responsible for inspecting furniture and fixture subassemblies and finished products to ensure that they meet quality standards.
- The candidate will have to sand metal furniture to prepare it for finishing and spray it with paint or other materials.
- The candidate must remove the old finish from the wood surface.
- The candidate will need to smooth gouges with wood filler and sand the wood.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
