Job Description

• The candidate must make minor adjustments and repairs to the furniture.
• The candidate will be responsible for preparing, sanding, and trimming wooden furniture and fixtures.
• The candidate must set up and operate finishing machines, or finish furniture by hand.
• The candidate must assemble wooden or metal furniture and fixture parts to form subassemblies and complete articles.
• The candidate must read blueprints and drawings.
• The candidate must stain or finish wood to the specified colour
• The candidate must apply toners, highlights, glazes, or shaders to achieve the desired finish.
• The candidate must reinforce assembled furniture and fixtures with dowels or other supports.
• The candidate will be responsible for decorating wooden surfaces.
• The candidate will be responsible for inspecting furniture and fixture subassemblies as well as finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• The candidate will be responsible for cleaning, polishing, and waxing furniture.
• The candidate will be required to sand metal furniture in preparation for finish and spray with paint or other materials.
• The candidate must use sand wood and wood filler to smooth gouges.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
• The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
• The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty and hot conditions.
