Job Description

  • Applicants who applied for this post are required to prepare and solicit tenders, proposals, quotations, change orders and other project-related administrative documents on behalf of client departments working at this post.
  • They’re also accountable at this post to perform reference checks, interview suppliers, negotiate satisfactory price discounts, terms, delivery methods and dates and related items working at this post.

Job requirement

  • Candidates must have completed Grade 12 supplemented by completion of Year 3 of the Supply Chain Management Professional program from the Purchasing Management Association of Canada to be eligible for this post.
  • They must have considerable experience in City or industrial purchasing and materials management to be eligible for this post.
  • Applicants must have a valid BC Driver’s license with a safe driving record to be considered as an asset for this post.
  • They must have a strong working knowledge of the policies and procedures governing municipal or public sector procurement to be considered as an asset for this post.
