Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are required to assist in the preparation of high-level complex specifications and related documents and the preparation of criteria, in conjunction with client Departments.
- Candidates who have applied for this post are required to prepare and solicit tenders, proposals, quotations, change orders and other project-related administrative documents on behalf of client departments working at this post.
- Applicants who applied for this post are required to perform reference checks, interview suppliers, negotiate satisfactory price discounts, terms, delivery methods and dates and related items working at this post.
- Candidates appointed at this post are required to process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders at this post.
- They’re also appointed at this post to maintain purchase orders and contracts to reflect changes to requirements working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have completed Grade 12 supplemented by completion of Year 3 of the Supply Chain Management Professional to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have considerable knowledge of the policies and procedures governing municipal or public sector procurement to be preferred for this post.
- They must have a valid BC Driver’s license with a safe driving record to get preferred for this post.
- They must have a sound knowledge of contract law, negotiation, and corporate insurance to be preferred for this post.
- Applicants must have excellent organization skills along with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently in a time-sensitive manner to be eligible for this post.
