Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to work independently within a cross-divisional setting to support three lines of service.
- They’re also appointed to provide strategic expertise to engage leadership and other interested parties in navigating complex and emerging issues.
- They’re appointed at this post to plan and manage priority projects, advance risk management and continuous improvement activities, and support divisional planning and performance reporting.
- Candidates are also appointed to work with various levels of leadership and multidisciplinary teams to develop strategic policies, frameworks and plans in priority areas.
- Candidates working in this post are required to help the utility gather and analyze information on emerging issues, industry trends, service innovations, and customer expectations.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have completed a degree in Business, Science, Social Sciences, Environmental Planning, Public Administration, Marketing or Communications to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must attain at least 5 years of related experience in strategic planning, communications planning, policy and guideline development, or primary and secondary research in a Water Utility or a complex multi-divisional organization.
- They’re also appointed to project or policy management experience skills and the ability to work on several time-sensitive projects simultaneously and manage ambiguity to be eligible for this post.
- They must attain experience in qualitative and quantitative research and analysis, and Council report writing to be eligible for this post.
- They’re also appointed to build consensus among interested parties and influence without authority.
Work setting
- They must attain strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills as well as the ability to prioritize.
