Job Description
- The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
- The candidate must review work orders.
- The candidate must conduct motor vehicle road tests.
- The candidate will be responsible for adjusting, repairing, or replacing truck-trailer system components.
- The candidate will be responsible for advising customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
- The candidate will be responsible for coaching and instructing apprentices.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate or diploma in other trades.
- Candidate having experience is an asset.
- The candidate must have Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification and a Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement Certificate.
- The candidate should be accurate.
- The candidate should be dependable.
- The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- The candidate should be reliable.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
- The candidate must be punctual.

- The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

- The candidate should work remotely or mobile, the practice of employees doing their jobs from a location other than a central office operated by the employer.
Experience and specialization
Area of specialization
- The candidate must be knowledgeable about engine repair, electrical and electronic systems, diesel engines, diagnostics, alignment, steering, and suspension, brake system, fuel and emission system, ignition, and electrical system, engine repair and overhaul, drive train components, truck trailer repair and front end components.
