Job Description 

  • People are accountable at this post to ensure that the project expenditures are controlled and maintained within approved budget limitations.
  •  People are also required to prepare and analyze the divisional budget, including monitoring program expenditures, staffing and revenues working at this post.
  • Applicants are also required to analyze budget submissions for conformance to corporate policy and rules, perform comparisons with the prior year and identify issues.
  •  Candidates working at this post are also appointed to provide technical advice and support to staff with problems/issues during the development of the budget working at this post.
  • They’re also accountable for preparing and presenting the capital and operating budget to senior management and various committees working at this post.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must have post-secondary education in a discipline relevant to the job function for example:- Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting.
  • Candidates must have enrollment in or completion of the CPA Professional Education Program.
  • People must have strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with senior management, staff in other divisions, community agencies and other levels of government to be eligible for this post.
  • They must attain the ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • People must have effective decision-making, conflict resolution and program-solving skills, demonstrating innovation with a results-oriented approach to be eligible for this post.

Work setting 

  • Candidates are appointed to prepare reports and briefing notes, presentation material for staff on financial and administrative matters working at this post.
