Job Description

  • Candidates interested in this post are accountable for ensuring that the project expenditures are controlled and maintained within approved budget limitations.
  • Theyโ€™re also appointed at this post to coordinate the preparation, analysis, implementation, and monitoring of the operating and capital budgets following corporate and divisional budgetary guidelines working at this post.
  • Applicants interested in this post are required to establish effective professional relationships with divisional staff, Corporate Finance, contracted agencies, provincial counterparts, internal and external auditors, etc.
  • Theyโ€™re appointed at this post to act as a resource person to the Division’s management staff in budgeting, accounting, auditing, internal control and all other related financial matters working at this post.

Job requirement

  • Candidates interested in this post must attain post-secondary education in a discipline pertinent to the job function, such as Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • They must attain dedicated experience in operating and capital budget formulation and financial planning within a large public sector organization to be preferred for this post.
  • Candidates must have highly developed analytical, negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • They must have highly developed interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills, to be preferred for this post.

Work setting

  • People who applied for this post are also accountable for providing direction, training and a coordination role to staff in the Division in budgeting, accounting and purchasing policies and procedures working at this post.
