Job Description

  • The candidate would be in charge of reconciling accounting system entries.
  • The candidate will be expected to complete the trial balance stage of the books.
  • The candidate would be responsible for posting journal entries.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep general ledgers and financial statements up to date.
  • The candidate will be required to calculate and prepare payroll checks.
  • The candidate will be required to prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • The candidate will be expected to keep financial records and to set up, maintain, and balance various accounts using both manual and computerised bookkeeping systems.
  • The candidate will be responsible for recording daily financial transactions and completing the posting process.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep track of financial transactions and reports.
  • The candidate will be in charge of performing all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
  • The candidate would be in charge of handling monthly payroll with accounting software in a timely manner
  • The candidate will be required to maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
  • The candidate would be expected to reconcile entries to balance subsidiary accounts.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep the general ledger up to date by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
  • The candidate must balance the general ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries.
  • The candidate will be responsible for preparing income tax returns based on accounting records.
  • The candidate will be required to maintain historical records by filing documents.
  • The candidate will be responsible for gathering, evaluating, and summarising account information and trends in order to generate financial reports.
  • The candidate will be expected to comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching requirements, enforcing compliance, filing reports, and advising management on necessary actions.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep track of debits and credits.
  • The candidate will be expected to use their knowledge of local laws to meet reporting requirements.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep track of any deviations from the projected budget.
  • The candidate must ensure that all transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger.
  • The candidate will be required to conduct preliminary checks on the posting process.
  • The candidate will be expected to enter data, keep records, and create reports and financial statements.
  • The candidate will be responsible for interpreting and applying accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • The candidate will be in charge of preparing financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising data.
  • The candidate will be in charge of account receivable functions such as invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition.
  • At the end of each month, the candidate will be responsible for reconciling sales taxes, payroll taxes, 401k, and bank accounts.
  • The candidate will be responsible for calculating budget variances and reporting significant issues to management.
  • The candidate will be in charge of keeping the chart of accounts up to date.
