Job Description

  • The candidate must prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • The candidate must request or order materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • The candidate must bake mixed dough and batters.
  • The candidate must train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling.
  • The candidate must prepare special orders.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising the baking and kitchen staff.
  • The candidate must frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
  • The candidate must establish production schedules.
  • The candidate must ensure that the product quality meets established standards.
  • The candidate must inspect the kitchen and food service areas.
  • The candidate must operate machinery.
  • The candidate must organize and maintain inventory.
  • The candidate will be responsible for preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff and assistants.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should work in a bakery. Bakers use various equipment of all sizes, including mixers, ovens, conveyor belts, dough dividers, and provers.
  • The candidate should work in a large-volume bakery. Bakers bake and sell freshly baked goods throughout the day and night, sometimes on weekends.
