Job Description

  • The candidate will be expected to provide advice on the use and appropriateness of goods or parts.
  • The candidate will be required to address customers’ complaints or concerns
  • The candidate must store items in a warehouse, tool room, or supply area.
  • The candidate will be expected to sell spare and replacement parts.
  • The candidate will be in charge of preparing requisition orders for the replenishment of parts and supplies.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep records on the inventory control system.
  • The candidate will be in charge of issuing and distributing internal parts and supplies.
  • The candidate will be in charge of receiving, unpacking, and sorting incoming parts, supplies, and materials.

  • The candidate will be in charge of determining the best supplier for the various parts.
  • The candidate will be in charge of ordering parts and materials via e-mail, fax, or phone, as well as purchasing parts via on-line purchase orders or procurement cards.
  • The candidate will be responsible for determining appropriate levels of parts inventory by analysing previous use, anticipating future needs, considering the importance of delivery time and the cost of each part, and then maintaining those inventory levels accordingly through stock order generation.
  • The candidate will be in charge of off-loading and receiving parts and materials from suppliers, as well as inspecting deliveries for damage, quality, and quantity.
  • The candidate will be in charge of completing all associated transactions related to the purchase of received deliveries.
  • The candidate will be in charge of providing technical information on parts and materials to shop personnel as well as other City departments.
  • The candidate will be responsible for expediting parts orders and ensuring rapid delivery of all products ordered by dealing with different vendors and shipping companies.
  • The candidate will be in charge of updating and maintaining online contract price as needed, as well as introducing new items and suggesting replacements for low-quality parts.
