Job Description
- The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
- The candidate must confirm findings with the supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace the unit.
- The candidate must discuss work with the supervisor.
- The candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
- The candidate must inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
- The candidate must inspect the motor in operation.
- The candidate must review work orders.
- The candidate will be responsible for conducting road tests on motor vehicles.
- The candidate will be responsible for testing automotive systems and components.
- The candidate will be responsible for adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components of automotive systems.
- The candidate will be responsible for adjusting, repairing, or replacing truck-trailer system components.
- The candidate must repair or replace mechanical units or components.
- The candidate will be responsible for testing and adjusting repaired systems to meet manufacturer specifications.
- The candidate must estimate the parts and labor costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- The candidate must perform scheduled maintenance service.
- The candidate must test and adjust units to specifications.
- The candidate must complete reports to record problems and work performed.
- The candidate will be responsible for coaching and instructing apprentices.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate should be accurate.
- The candidate should be dependable.
- The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
- The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
- The candidate should be reliable.
