Job Description
- Applicants who applied for this post are accountable for providing leadership, supervision, mentoring, coaching and training to full-time and temporary/seasonal staff.
- They’re accountable at this post to assist in the supervision of contracted seasonal maintenance programs working at this post.
- Candidates accountable at this post to manage maintenance activities and resources including prioritizing, organizing, scheduling, assigning and monitoring work at this post.
- They’re appointed at this post to prepare detailed activity documentation for staff/equipment time and materials used.
- Candidates are accountable at this post to respond within service levels to service requests from residents, the mayor, councillors, senior management, internal departments, and external agencies applied for this post. ;
Job requirement
- Candidates appointed to this post must have post-secondary education in civil engineering, business administration or a related field to be eligible for this post.
- People selected for this post must attain the ability to obtain a Certified Engineering Technician designation with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists within the first 12 months of employment to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates selected for this post must have demonstrated competency in working in a team environment and with internal and external stakeholders to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- Candidates who applied for this post are required to respond to requests for documentation for examination for discovery cases and participate as required.
- They’re also accountable for patrolling right of way, including investigating, identifying, reporting and making safety as required infrastructure deficiencies working at this post.
