Assistant Construction and Development Coordinator

Toronto Transit Commission has released a notification in which they’re inviting candidates for the post of Assistant Construction and Development Coordinator. They will manage a variety of projects and contracts undertaken by the Department.They assist with the coordination of various civil, structural and track projects. They ensure proper scheduling and inspection of work. They will escort and supervise contractors on TTC property. They will perform site coordination of TTC unionised personnel and Contractors/Consultants involved in working on behalf of the Department.

Job description

  • Candidates will assist the coordinator with preparing specifications for contracted work, reviewing contract documents, requesting proposals, and recommending award.
  • They will coordinate and assist with scheduling work cars, power cuts, watch persons and other TTC labour as required.
  • They will ensure safe work practices, applicable safety legislation, TTC safety policies and those of other agencies are followed.
  • They will ensure that damage attributable to third parties is repaired without cost to the TTC.
  • They will review and circulate development and lease proposals within Subway Operations to affected departments.
  • They will review and arrange circulation of Public Utility Coordinating Committee applications.
