Job Description
- Candidates for this post are appointed to work with related professionals and establish linguistically appropriate communication strategies.
- They are also required to coordinate with Deaf staff, co-workers, and contract employees after each event.
- Candidates are also appointed to consult and promote awareness of Deaf culture with students, teachers, and staff around the appropriate use of an interpreter.
- Candidates for this post are also appointed to assess and optimize interpreting environments for successful communication dynamics.
Job requirement
- Candidates must attain a dedicated degree or diploma to be eligible for this post.
- They must attain a minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in educational and community interpreting.
- They must attain dedicated experience interpreting formal or platform presentations in a formal register.
- They must attain the ability to maintain confidentiality of information to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- Candidates must be able to travel between different locations to be eligible for this post.
