Arts Instructor

Job Description 

  • Candidates appointed to this post are required to ensure program space is appropriate and set up to maximize program delivery potential and the safety of participants.
  • They’re also accountable for providing quality customer service and acting as a knowledgeable resource to parents of participants working at this post.
  • Candidates are also accountable for promoting the program and providing information for progression in the music program.
  • People applying for this post are required to ensure that all participants are registered correctly into programs, maintain attendance lists and perform any additional administrative task as required.
  • They’re also appointed to complete report cards and certificates for the participants of the program as required working at this post.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must have HIGH FIVE® Principles of Healthy Child Development certification along with experience with specialized instruments related to the program and/or general academic qualification in music to be eligible for this post.
  • They must have a Criminal Reference Check, including Vulnerable Sector Screening, along with dedicated Emergency First Aid and CPR B Certification to be eligible for this post.
  • They must have experience working with children, teens and adults to be eligible for this post.

Work setting 

  • Candidates must have a high degree of tact and diplomacy with appropriate leadership skills.
  • They’re accountable for preparing a presentation for the end-of-session Parent’s Day to highlight the achievements of the participants working at this post.
  • Candidates are also appointed to find and prepare music that is appropriate for the program and matches the technical requirements for participants working at this post.
