The City of Mississauga has released a notification in which they’re inviting candidates for the post of Aquatics Instructor. They play an important role in maintaining a safe aquatic environment and providing enjoyable swimming lessons for people of all ages. They will assist with special events and facility promotion. Job description

  • Candidates will supervise and maintain a safe, enjoyable environment for all swimmers.
  • They will teach all swimming program levels to participants.
  • They will participate in pre-season and in-service training during December 2023/January 2024.
  • They will successfully complete all online training modules.

Job requirement

  • Candidates must be15 years of age or older.
  • They need to be a Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor, Lifesaving Instructor and Emergency First Aid Instructor.
  • They need to be a Lifesaving National Lifeguard Pool.

Work setting

  • Candidates will have to do shift work, including days, evenings and weekends.
  • They should have proof of current awards.
  • They will have to undergo A Level 3 – Vulnerable Sector Check.
