Job Description

• The candidate will be responsible for clearing fields of wood and stone.
• The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the bee yard and beekeeping equipment.
• The candidate must harvest crops.
• The candidate will be responsible for feeding and tending animals.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting.
• The candidate will be responsible for budding trees.
• The candidate must clean the crops.
• The candidate will be responsible for training trees to produce more fruit of higher quality.
• The candidate must be familiar with soil fertility programs.
• The candidate must interact with bees based on your knowledge of their biology, behaviour, ecology, and caste system.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• Candidate having experience is an asset.
• The candidate should be a good team player.
• The candidate must be flexible.

Work site environment

• Farm operations include fruit and vegetable combination farming, organic farming, other miscellaneous animal farming, other miscellaneous crop farming, and tree and orchard fruit production.
• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty, hot and wet/damp conditions.
• The candidate must work in all weather conditions.

Work setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.

Experience and specialization

Apiary and honey harvesting experience

• The candidate must be knowledgeable about honey harvesting, apiary management, and honey farming.

Equipment and machinery experience

• The candidate must have experience operating a farm truck, tractor and loader.

Specialization or experience

• The candidate must be knowledgeable about the green economy sector.
• The candidate must possess specialized environmental skills and knowledge.

• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
