Job description

  • Candidates will manage relationships between finance and commercial for a portfolio of commodities aligned to a specific VP including finance input on strategic initiatives.
  • They will partner with commercials to build achievable budgets and forecasts.
  • They will develop and execute daily, monthly, quarterly, yearly reports that illustrate how CPKC is performing to plan against key metrics.

Job requirement

  • Candidates must have an undergraduate degree in Commerce, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • They must have 1 to 2 years post-graduation experience as an asset.
  • They must have understanding of Marketing & Sales issues, company forecasting, and metrics.
  • They must have demonstrated capability to interpret a wide array of information and determine key messages.

Work setting

  • Candidates must have the ability to assist in identifying and implementing process improvements and data maintenance to achieve business objectives that could be business and/or technical in nature.
  • They should possess the capability to use time series statistical forecasting techniques to develop a base plan.
  • They must have the ability to collaborate with subject matter experts to enhance plans with specific customer details.
