Job Description

  • The candidate must open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other materials.
  • The candidate must schedule and confirm appointments.
  • The candidate must maintain the filing system.
  • The candidate must record and prepare minutes of court sessions, meetings, or conferences.
  • The candidate must determine and establish office procedures and routines.
  • The candidate must prepare and key in correspondence and legal documents.
  • The candidate must review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and proper grammatical usage.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must be bilingual.
  • The candidate must have completed College/CEGEP or have equivalent experience in legal studies, as a legal administrative assistant or secretary, or as a legal assistant/paralegal.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • Spanish is considered an asset for the candidate.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
  • The candidate must be well-organized.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate must be able to multitask.

Experience and specialization

Computer and technology knowledge

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable about MS Word, email, MS Excel and Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Area of work experience

  • The candidate must have work experience in contracts, financial statements, real estate, reports and records, and management.
